AHA Highlights SCHA's Zero Harm Program for Leading a Culture of Safety

We are excited to announce that the American Hospital Association has recently featured SCHA's Zero Harm program as part of their coverage around infection prevention and how hospitals and health systems are doing that work!

"The slow and steady reduction in the rates of central-line associated bloodstream infections, (CLABSI), surgical site infections (SSI), Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Clostridioides difficile infections (CDI) across the Palmetto State’s hospitals was kick-started by the launch of the Certified Zero Harm program in 2014," AHA writes. "This innovative program recognizes South Carolina hospitals that are on the forefront of preventing medical errors."

The piece goes on to celebrate how the program supported the deployment of Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare’s self-assessment tool through the Zero Harm Blueprint and how SCHA hosts webinars throughout the year to help hospitals achieve their harm prevention goals.
