Zero Harm, By the Numbers

In 2023, 69 SC hospitals participated in our Zero Harm program, leading to more than 2,300 fewer days in the hospital for their patients. They saved more than $7.7 million in healthcare costs in 2022, including over $2 million saved for prevention of surgical site infections for SC patients.

Below are some other great numerical achievements from this year's award winners:

# of central line days without harm = 114,661

# of patient days without harm = 282,646

# of surgical procedures without harm = 6,802

# of hospital days avoided = 2,369 days
